The endocrinology outpatient clinic deals with the diagnosis and treatment of conditions associated with abnormal function of the endocrine glands, i.e. the thyroid, parathyroid, pituitary, pancreas, thymus, testes in men or ovaries in women.

You should come to the counselling centre to have your hormone levels checked and to perform other tests that are necessary to diagnose endocrine disorders and to be able to introduce effective endocrine treatment. Disturbing symptoms that recur and appear for unexplained reasons should not be ignored. Untreated endocrine disorders translate into the condition of the whole body and lead to other conditions, such as infertility or depression.

We diagnose and treat, among others:

• Thyroid diseases - e.g. Hashimoto's disease (hypothyroidism), Graves-Basedow's disease (hyperthyroidism), nodular goitre
• Adrenal diseases - e.g. Cushing's disease (hyperadrenocorticism)
• Parathyroid gland diseases (e.g. hyper-, hypothyroidism)
• Diseases of the hypothalamus and pituitary gland
• Osteoporosis - including vitamin D deficiency
• Hyperlipidaemia
• Hypertension
• Obesity
